Claude Lanzmann, One Hundred Lives

Claude Lanzmann is a French journalist, writer, director and producer. Resistance fighter, committed intellectual and collaborator of Jean-Paul Sartre, he fought for Algerian independence while defending the State of Israel. He is the author of the film-monument Shoah, the landmark work that gave its name to the genocide of the Jews, "an unparalleled alliance of horror and beauty" according to Simone de Beauvoir.
